What is Special Olympics?
Polk County Special Olympics offers students and adults with intellectual disabilities to participate in sporting events. These events help to build collaboration among non-disabled and disabled peers in a fun, non-competitive manner.
We strive to have all of our athletes discover their fullest potential, develop physical fitness, experience joy and friendship, and demonstrate courage all while celebrating diversity among others.

Polk County Special Olympics would not possible without the help and support from our sponsors within the community. Our sponsors make a difference in the lives of students and adults with intellectual disabilities. Your contributions help to provide athletes with a number of experiences including...athlete shirt, food, photo booth, cotton candy, snow cones, event ribbons and medals, and a framed picture keepsake.
This would not be possible without YOU!
